Muse; I was to ‘dada’, my grandfather, what sunflowers were to Van Gogh. Art is my way of expression and my first nudge towards art was my relationship with my late grandfather. Growing up, my interest in printmaking and graphics increased significantly. I would find myself hooked to a hoarding or poster and curiously wondered about the process. The aspect of graphic designing that I find most exciting is the sheer flexibility that comes with limitless applications. Graphics made me follow my art practice of simplicity, a virtue that is significant to me personally and professionally. My artistic process today draws in many ways from my lived experiences in the recesses of my memory or the intimacy of my relationships. It is all about giving an artist’s perspective while understanding the viewer. My work embodies my core aesthetic sensibilities along with considering the purpose of the design.
